Please welcome for the first time at East Forty, country music singer/songwriter Emmitt Rickey from Bates City, MO! Emmitt’s music style is heavily influenced by the old-time country music artists such as Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard, and Alan Jackson. The classic twang, yet smooth sound of these artists are what Emmitt strives to replicate in his own musical style. He prides himself in carrying on the classic country sound with a repertoire of his original songs combined with classic and modern red dirt country hits.

Barak Hill LIVE!

Barak Hill is an Americana singer-songwriter with roots in folk, soul, and rock and roll. Barak's talents were recognized when he was chosen from among thousands of entrants as the winner of American Songwriter Magazine’s Santa Cruz Guitar Song Contest. He was also voted one of Southwest Missouri's top three solo musicians by 417 Magazine readers. Barak’s songs and sound run in the same vein as artists like Ray LaMontagne, Steve Earle, and Amos Lee. Lyric-driven, heartbroken Americana hanging on to a fistful of hope that things might just get better, delivered with a soulful voice and strong guitar work. Playing around 150 shows yearly has made Barak a confident, dynamic performer whose original songs, along with a handful of cherished covers, connect with audiences on a deep level.
